My sweet apartment

Alright, I’ve been promising people that I would take photos of my apartment once I have one. I don’t own one yet, not in short term anyway, but I did rent a nice little apartment two weeks after I got here, May 3rd to be precise. It’s around 90 m², with the common area trimmed off, we got about 80 m² I think, for a 4 ½ in North America lingo. So, that’s pretty small, basically a living room and kitchen together, a bedroom and a very small room used as office. It’s clean, neat and brand new, has been renovated just two months before we rent it. It’s got big window in every room, with view far away (we’re at the 20th floor), as long as they don’t build another one just across the street…

Most of the furnitures are included in the rent, the wine cooler is ours.

The bedroom, with a too big window that is always too bright at the morning, but we love it!

As for visitors, it can host one person comfortably (in the office room), two would be a bit tight, three is practically impossible. This apartment is sold for 22,000 RMB per square meter, so about 314$CA per square feet, but you don’t get the area that you pay for, because that includes the common area such as hallway, lift, stair, and so on, those are share proportionally among each unit. This is a very convenient location (subway, bus, restaurant, shopping, cinema, etc), but we’re still 10 minutes of taxi from downtown. Honestly, I love this place!

However, no walk-in closet, no big sexy bathroom, no washing room, no storage room and no balcony. We’re working on that………… :)
