Jacky Cheung World Tour 07 [张学友《好久不见》演唱会]
I went to Jacky Cheung’s concert last Saturday (Dec 01) at Shanghai Stadium which could host 80,000 spectators, hense its name of Eighty Thousand People Stadium [八万人体育馆]. It was the first time I (and my girlfriend) assist in a live concert of this scale and celebrity, the amount of people was simply amazing to witness! When I got in the stadium, I realized there must be around 100,000 people in total, because there are 80,000 seats outside of the field, and there are tons of people sitting in the field, including myself, those are the more expensive tickets. The ticket I got was 580RMB, but I was at the last few rows of my zone. As soon as the concert started, people standed up on their chair, so I couldn’t see anything even if I do the same… The sound wasn’t great neither from there.
So very quickly, I walked outside of the zone to approach the scene, and spent the rest of my time standing there. At least I can see Jacky a bit, and I can hear him perfectly. I took a few photos that night, but no great shots. It was a good first-time experience, but I doubt I would pay this price to see him again, or any other singer, unless she’s really really sexy, and for that I would have to buy a binoculars!

Jacky Cheung’s songs are very familiar to me, I think his dancing skills haven’t improved much despite after all these years, and now that he’s getting older and older, I think he talks too much. I used to rent videotape/DVD of his concerts before, and he rarely talked more than 30 seconds. It would be really nice if he talks a bit less, and invites one or two guesses to sing, or act, with him, it would have been refreshing.
