3rd Imported Car Expo
Although it might appear, from the absence of blog post during July and August, that I was sticking my ass to the office chair during the whole Summer, it was actually not exactly the case. I did have a few outings during Summer, though short but still worth while.
The last activity was about the 3rd Imported Auto Expo at Shanghai. Free ticket was provided by IBM Club for this half day activity that turned out taking my whole day away because of the transportation unefficiency. The ticket included transportation from People’s Square to the show room located at Jiading district, not too far from the Shanghai car racing circuit that hosts the F1 and the A1GP annually. Instead of providing long distance tour bus that has more seats, they were using regular bus that has fewer seats because those bus were optimized for short distance transport and allowed more people to stand and easier to move around, but then they didn’t allow anyone to stand up, so each bus ended up carrying very few people.

The car show has nothing special to be mentioned, it’s quite small compare to any auto show, there wasn’t much fancy cars, just 2 Ferrari, 2 Maserati, a cheap Lamborghini, a pretty Jaguar, and a boring Rolls-Royce. The rest are the ordinary cars like Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Cadillac, Subaru, Volkswagen, Hummer, and surprisingly Harley-Davidson which was getting quite some traffic that day! So, consequently, all my attention has been put into the car models, which looked much better than the actual cars…
